Feb 2010

Wow, we are really behind… who could have predicted that one!  So I just posted (see below Jan update). Now that we are headed into March it is time for Feb. so here we go:

February has been a quick month! We are both still at our jobs which we thank God for everyday to have paychecks coming in. There have been so many cutbacks and we along with everybody else are waiting for the economy to take that upward turn!

We celebrated the Superbowl with Kevin’s mom, her boyfriend Rob and his son Ryan. Heidi was of course cheering for the Colts but was none-the-less happy to have a deserving city and team end with the win. And as usual Kevin was still cheering for the Cowboys, oh wait were they even a team this year? 

For Valentine’s we spent a day in Boulder, one of our favorite close by hangouts. We hung out at the All Natural Pet Store, Ellie’s Eco Home Store, ate lunch at LarkBurger (yummy!) and went shopping on Pearl Street. It was such a beautiful and relaxing day for both of us.

Some of you have asked about our travel plans for 2010. After much praying and tough conversations we have decided on the three trips we can financially afford this year. As of right now our wedding number is up to 11 and feels like weekly it keeps growing. We are excited for everyone who is getting married, just wish all those weddings were in Colorado so we could get to them!

January 2010

Well, with the holidays over we had hoped for life to slow down a little bit but instead got a run for our money with another busy month. We enjoyed having a quiet Christmas just the three of us. Moose got more toys than he knows what to do with and often seems overwhelmed with his options. He is well loved by our families and friends for sure! We enjoyed spending New Years in Fort Collins with Kevin’s side of the family, we celebrated both Christmas and 2010 and enjoyed lots of fun and laughter with family.

January started with work slow for both of us. Kevin is still doing computer work with Colorado Concept Lighting and Heidi still working as a preschool teacher at Cradle to Crayons. We both love and appreciate our jobs and are anticipating God’s faithfulness to provide for our lives and for work to pick up.

Mid January Heidi started her own business with Tastefully Simple (www.tastefullysimple.com). She is excited about the new opportunity and freedom of the company and is slowly working on growing her business with parties and host opportunities with friends and family.

Other events of January included:

  • attending the National Western Stock Show with good friends Noah and Sarah
  • celebrating with newly engaged friends (we are now up to nine couples who are getting married between april and august 2010!
  • spending time in Breckenridge for the National Championship of Ice Sculpture

Thanksgiving with the Bullers

Wanted to post this and forgot to a couple months ago. This is from the week of Thanksgiving when Heidi's parents came to visit us for a week. We went on a carriage ride downtown Golden.
